Bon Iver - Blood Bank

Here's another Indie, Folk Band for y'all! Their first debut Album was released in 2008. After that, the EP Blood Bank came out in 2009. The track title peaked 37 in various Countries such as France, UK and the US. The title track was actually recorded during the For Emma sessions, but Vernon (band singer) said it didn't quite fit in the record.
"It just didn't seem to fit the story and lineage, I guess" he said. "So I just sort of Surrounded 'Blood Bank' with three other songs that were very different from one other, and they all kind of came together as a palette cleanser for the last record. And I'm really excited about it"
And it turned out pretty good! I actually have no other words to describe this song, it's a brilliant combination and beautifully sung!

The Weepies - World Spins Madly On

Sorry for the delay guys. I thought a long time what the next song should be. Since I am not in such a good mood today, heres a quiet, sad song for you. It's kind of the music you listen to when you don't know what to do and when your life is so messed up that nobody can help you even if you wanted to.
A talented married couple from Canada are The Weepies. Their music direction is acoustic rock, indie and folk rock. So whenever you want to have a quiet time for yourself or in the mood of just reading a book, The Weepies is a wonderful band to listen to.

Crystal Castles ft. Robert Smith - Not in Love

Everyone knows The Cure. But do you also know Crystal Castles? They're a band from Canada who brought out their first EP in 2006. Band members of Crystal Castles met when they were only 15 years old!
Their music style is mostly electro. They started out to be a very electro band and according to the BBC, Crystal Castles style "is to be cast adrift in a vortex of deafening pain without a safety net. You get the feeling you could do anything in the world, but that 'anything' would ultimately mean nothing. Crystal Castles marks a nuanced emotional territory that dance music never covered before."
But with the release of their second album, they have become more calm and pure. There is a lot of beauty and clarity in their music, if you listen carefully.

Here is a song where Crystal Castles sings with the lead singer of the band The Cure ( on the market since 2010). They play the music, Robert Smith sings. A brilliant combination!

Lets start with this!

Ok, you might or might not know this song, but this is my favourite song. So it kind of has to go on this blog!!

Interpret: Shout Out Louds
Title: Impossible
Album: Our Ill Wills

Shout Out Louds is a band from Sweden. Mostly, their music direction is indie pop, or indie rock.. and very chilled. Imagine listening to this song, looking out the window and snows falling on a winter day. Since they're from Sweden, in some songs they use the fiddle, the triangle and other interesting instruments to make their songs special. Since 2005, they have brought out 3 albums and toured with bands such as Kings of Leon and the Strokes and many more.
Have fun with this song, let it sink in and most importantly... ENJOY!
